Explanations about Chinese Wordnet ：

Based on principles of WordNet English-English dictionary, which was developed by the Cognitive Science Laboratory at Princeton University, Chinese WordNet is translated by manual way(not including the explanation of the words).

Chinese WordNet have the function of English-English search and the special search,such as antonym, Hypernym and so on.

Because of the limit of our capability,there have a lot of drawbacks in Chinese Wordnet which can not be satisfied in both quantity and quality .We are trying some other methods to achieve our anticipative goals.

Considerating some drawbacks sucha as we do not take consideration of the part of speech because of the unconspicuous characteristic in Chinese and there are some problems in the process of translating,we hope the whole society could make contribution to Chinese Wordnet by the method of Web 2.0.
